• When will the graduation ceremony take place? 

The graduation ceremony will take place on Saturday, 30 May 2026. 

• Where will the graduation ceremony take place?

Your graduation ceremony will take place at the ICOMEM (Ilustre Colegio Oficial de Médicos de Madrid). 

• What requirements do I have to meet to attend the graduation ceremony?
• Be enrolled on a course with at least 60 ECTS credits.
• Be enrolled on all of said credits.
• If you are studying for a double degree, you must have completed both degrees.  
• Be up to date with university fee payments.

• How far in advance should you arrive at the venue?

We will open the doors one hour before the ceremony begins, so we kindly ask that you arrive on time. 

• Are these spaces suitable for people with reduced mobility and/or pushchairs?

Yes.  

• Do I need to be registered to attend the event?

Yes.  

• How do I register?

We will inform you of the exact process via the usual channels once registration opens.  

• Are children and babies counted as guests?

Yes, due to limited capacity.  

• Can I bring more people than the allocated number of guests? 

No, due to limited capacity, we are unable to increase the number of guests. 

• I don’t know if they can make it yet. Can I confirm the number of attendees later?

Each registered student is allocated a specific number of guest tickets. You will not have to confirm the number of people accompanying you. We will send you the tickets with a QR code before the event.  

The QR code on each ticket is for single use only, i.e. it will be scanned at the entrance and from that moment on it will be unusable. 

• If another student is attending with fewer guests, can other students use their places?

As a registered student, due to limited capacity, you receive a specific number of tickets. These will be sent to you before the event, meaning you can give them to whoever you wish.  

• Do guests have to identify themselves?

No. As a registered student, you will receive tickets with a QR code, which will be sent to you before the event.  

The QR code on each ticket is for single use only, i.e. it will be scanned at the entrance and from that moment on it will be unusable.  

• What are the scheduled dates for registration and confirmation of attendance?

A few weeks before the ceremony. We will inform you via the usual channels once registration opens.  

• Where and when can I collect the tickets?

The tickets are digital. A few days before the event you will receive the tickets (yours and those of your guests) at the email address you have registered. They will have a single-use QR code which they must scan at the entrance to the venue.  

• How long will the sash ceremony last?

Approximately one hour. 

• What language will the graduation ceremony be held in?

Spanish.

• What is the dress code?

For graduating students, the dress code will be a dark-coloured suit for men and cocktail attire for women.  

• How many people will be attending the event?

Approximately 500 people. 

• What happens if I don’t confirm my attendance but still attend the event?

If you wish to attend, we recommend that you register on the platform on the dates indicated. If you come on the day of the event without having previously registered, entry will only be granted if space becomes available due to another registered student not showing up. This scenario is quite unlikely. 

• Where can I see the photos of the graduation events?

After the graduation ceremony we will publish the photos and send you a link allowing you to view and download them.  

• I am unable to attend the ceremony as I am not in Spain. Can I watch it via a live stream?

A live stream of the ceremony will not be available, although you will be able to watch a video recording of the entire ceremony at a later date. 

• I am unable to attend the ceremony. Can I still request my sash/stole?  

No, sashes and stoles are only handed out on the day of the ceremony. 

• Who can I contact in order to participate in the graduation and class photographs?  

The university does not arrange for any photographs to be taken; it is the students’ responsibility to organise them.  

• How many guests can I bring to the ceremony? 

You may bring up to 2 guests.

• Can I attend the graduation ceremony if I still have subjects left to pass during the extraordinary exam period?  

Yes. To attend the graduation ceremony, you must be enrolled in all the credits of your degree programme. 

• I live overseas. Can the university process my visa? 

The university is unable to process visa applications, but we can provide you with a letter of invitation so that you may begin the procedure yourself.   

• I live abroad. Can the university send me a letter of invitation for me to prepare my visa?

• My guests need a letter of invitation in order to request their travel visa. How do I get one?

• I am unable to attend this year’s graduation ceremony. Can I attend next year? 

No. For organisational reasons, graduates from other years may not attend the graduation ceremonies.
